Tension on Fifty Shades of Grey Movie Set, Jamie Dornan Very "Protective" Over Dakota Johnson

When it is the “Fifty Shades....” how could you think that there would not be a shred of tension involved in the shooting? After all, for a film which has courted controversy right from its casting days, regarding cast changes, getting involved in another controversy was just like a slow burning ember which has now gathered flames. This time the controversy has a lot to do with the lead pair of the film, that is Anastasia and Christian, or actually you can say, it has a lot to do with the actors who are playing the roles of Christian and Ana, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

The latest news to come from the set is that Jamie Dornan is “overprotective” of Dakota Johnson. The relationship between Jamie and Dakota, on and off the set, is going great, and that is partly because of the difference in the very nature of Dakota and Jamie, which balances their relationship. It has been noted by an observer on the set and a source that Jamie Dornan keeps to himself mostly on the set and is reserved, who is amiable but does not talk too much to the cast and the crew, but on the other hand, Dakota gets along well with almost anyone and everyone on the sets, be it the members of the cast or the crew.

Jamie thinks that precisely that is the reason why the 24 year old is losing her concentration and is getting distracted on the set. Jamie Dornan is like a big protector on the set and often tries to help Dakota in such situations by walking over to the person and asking them politely to leave or end the conversation. It seems like Jamie is taking his onscreen role a little too personally and keeping up with it off screen too. Jamie Dornan is acting in the role of Christian Grey, who has been described as a protective and masochist self made billionaire, while Dakota Johnson has been described in the novel as a naive and coy college graduate who plays the role of the submissive partner in the BDSM inspired relationship they eventually form.

The characters, it seems, have gone too under the skin of their characters, not that we are complaining. The on screen chemistry that we have already seen between Dakota and Jamie, it seems, has now transcended behind the screens too. It has also been reported that despite the fact that “Fifty Shades...” is going to be one of her most famous roles, Dakota Johnson has ‘nailed’ her role as Anastasia Steele. Considering the fact she was among the first members of the cast to be chosen and finalised, the journey of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s young daughter seems to be headed for the right destination, and for Jamie Dornan, slipping into the shoes of ex-Christian Grey Charlie Hunnam, might have been quite the task, but we bet that if the shoe fits, one should wear it, isn’t it Mr. Grey, erm, Mr. Dornan? 

Fifty Shades of Grey Author EL James 'Heads Back To Vancouver' As Filming Resumes

Surely you’ve heard of the saying, ‘all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy’. If there is one group of people who live this saying, it has to be the team of “Fifty Shades ofGrey”. We had already heard that the team was shooting in Vancouver and some of the crucial scenes had already been shot, when the weather started playing spoilt sport and there was also a well earned Christmas break waiting for them. Having returned from a well deserved break, the “Fifty Shades.....” team is now ready to resume shooting and E. L. James, the author who has penned the racy novels, is also not the one to sit back and enjoy when she knows that her baby is out there. By baby, we of course mean her venture, the film version of her novel. After all, she is also one of the producers of the adaptation.

The film, which is slated for a Valentine’s release in February 2015, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and ever since the shooting of the film began in December in Vancouver, the two power women, Sam and Erica have been deeply engrossed and associated with the project. Hence, when the team resumed shooting in Vancouver, it was only natural that Erica would ‘head back’ and join them. While the cast and the crew of the adaptation were busy celebrating with their respective friends, the British author and mother of two, too, was busy spending the holidays and the season of sharing with her family which comprises her two adolescent sons and husband. It was Twitter which informed us how she was preparing to travel light, or not, to Canada to be a part of the shooting.

While we are talking about the people, who are behind the scenes, it would be unfair not to mention what the people who will be seen on screen are doing. The lead pair, of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, who play the pivotal roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, were also back to resume their roles, having spent the two-week hiatus with their families. Dakota was seen enjoying her break with mother, Melanie Griffith and her sisters, having spent some time with her boyfriend, Jordan Masterson in Aspen. Jamie Dornan aka Christian Grey, had welcomed their first child, a daughter, way back in December and without a doubt, the Irish hunk must have spent his time off with his wife and daughter.

The cast of “Fifty Shades...” also includes a name, Rita Ora. While the English singer and songwriter has not started shooting yet, she is soon due on the sets and the “R.I.P” singer, utilised her time off properly, partying away in London with friends. Well, now that the team is back and ready to start shooting, we are waiting for the latest updates on information and pictures, right from the shooting, as it happens. ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Casts Eloise Mumford As Anastasia’s Bff Kate

After casting Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Victor Rasuk as the primary players of the movie ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, if there was one character that was left to be cast it was Katherine Cavanaugh or Kate as she is popularly known in E.L. James’s novel, which is making waves in the world of literature and Hollywood with equal ease. The novel has been famous and notorious at the same time. While some have been delighted at the erotic love story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, others have said that it did not measure up to the yardstick of a literary novel
But E.L. James’s novel is not only about titillation, there is an inherent love story that unfolds in the pages of this dangerously themed novel. The character of Katharine Cavanaugh a.k.a Kate is instrumental in bringing the pivotal characters of Ana and Christian together and thanks to her and veiled efforts, Ana and Christian come together and the forbidden arrangement takes form between them. In the novel, EL James describes her as a woman who has a curvaceous body with green eyes and strawberry-blonde hair. The actress who has been selected to play the part in the movie version of the novel, Eloise Mumford, fits the bill with her natural blonde hair and curvaceous yet slender frame. The cast of the movie venture has already been in the news for all the cast problems and re-cast options that have been tried out and finally selected.
First it was Charlie Hunnam who was selected to play the role of the eccentric millionaire. After he unceremoniously dropped out of the project, Jamie Dornan has been selected to replace him. Let us hope that the choice of Eloise Mumford to play Kate remains a static decision and we get to see more of this erstwhile star of ‘Lone Star’ and ‘Drones’ on the big screen. The character is not only instrumental in bringing Ana and Grey together but she also, pairs up with Christian Grey’s brother Elliot Grey. Though she was a matchmaker of sorts, she becomes vocally disapproving of the contract based relationship that Grey is alluring Ana into.
 From the time she realises that Grey has been responsible for making Ana cry, she vehemently reproaches Grey, but only in Ana’s absence. In her presence however, they have to act civil so that they do not hurt Ana. She is one of the first people to realise the controlling nature of the relationship that Ana and Grey share and how that slowly paves the path to a contract based physical relationship. Eloise Mumford gives us one more reason to look forward to the 2015 Valentine’s Day release of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

With a novel like “Fifty Shades of Grey”, the author E.L. James has not only brought out BDSM and other sexual acts out from the closet. The novel can be called the romance of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, but it is probably the one of its kind romance novel where sexual practices like bondage, discipline, submission, masochism etc. are brought out into the fore. The romance between Ana and Christians what forms the core of the novel. But the seemingly perfect romance between this college graduate and the intimidating businessman takes a turn when he resorts to the above mentioned sexual practices.

And when he comes to pick up a very drunk Anastasia, after she ends up dialling him in a drunken state also makes Christian Grey a true romantic hero.
