Jamie Dornan to leave ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ to start work on ‘The Fall’?

Jamie Dornan fans will be officially perplexed, sad and angry when they hear that the Irish hunk of an actor is about to leave the “FiftyShades...” project. But to console them only one thing can be said, and that is, the actor is not leaving the movie franchise for good. He will be merely taking a break. The actor, who was primarily known for his television roles in “Once Upon a Time” and “The Fall”, will be taking a break and going to Belfast to reprise his role in “The Fall”.

He will start shooting for the second season of the series and unlike the earlier Mr. Grey; he will not be leaving the venture. But no sooner had the word got out that the former Calvin Klein model was leaving the movie, than everybody started thinking that history was about to repeat itself. In this context, it must be mentioned that any new news regarding the cast of the “Fifty Shades...” movie sparks off a domino effect of rumours because of the incidents that have already happened with the movie adaptation and have left an indelible impression on the movie.

The first time any such cast change rumour was heard was when Charlie Hunnam, who was selected to play the role of Christian Grey, walked out of the venture citing his commitment to his television show “Sons of Anarchy” and now if the actor, who has replaced him as Christian Grey, does the same, it is bound to give the producers and the director and the casting team of the movie adaptation sleepless nights. Though the chances of Jamie Dornan leaving the movie are slim, since he has been shooting for the film since December, one can’t be too sure.

The actor is still in Vancouver, Canada shooting the outdoor scenes with his leading lady, Dakota Johnson. The Fifty Shades Movie has been reportedly shot indoors with very few crew members in attendance. The actor will be taking a break of 16 weeks to travel to Belfast, where he will then get busy to shoot for “The Fall”. The actor will also be joined by Gillian Anderson shooting for “The Fall”. The actress was finishing up her commitments on the US show “Hannibal”, due to which the filming of “The Fall” had to go through a delay.

The executive producer of the series “The Fall”, Gub Neal was also quoted as saying that they have been talking to the Irish actor for over nine months and it has been confirmed that his “Fifty Shades...” schedule will not affect the shooting of “The Fall” in any way. It is being rumoured that the actor will begin shooting the series in Belfast at the end of January or the beginning of February. We hope that the Jamie Dornan’s 16 week stint in Belfast doesn’t change his mind in any way and he comes back to continue shooting for “Fifty Shades...” so that come February 13, 2015, his fans can happily tag along to theatres to watch him in action.

When it is the “Fifty Shades....” how could you think that there would not be a shred of tension involved in the shooting? After all, for a film which has courted controversy right from its casting days, regarding cast changes, getting involved in another controversy was just like a slow burning ember which has now gathered flames. This time the controversy has a lot to do with the lead pair of the film, that is Anastasia and Christian, or actually you can say, it has a lot to do with the actors who are playing the roles of Christian and Ana, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

The latest news to come from the set is that Jamie Dornan is “overprotective” of Dakota Johnson. The relationship between Jamie and Dakota, on and off the set, is going great, and that is partly because of the difference in the very nature of Dakota and Jamie, which balances their relationship. The cast of the movie venture has already been in the news for all the cast problems and re-cast options that have been tried out and finally selected.
First it was Charlie Hunnam who was selected to play the role of the eccentric millionaire. After he unceremoniously dropped out of the project, Jamie Dornan has been selected to replace him. Let us hope that the choice of Eloise Mumford to play Kate remains a static decision and we get to see more of this erstwhile star of ‘Lone Star’ and ‘Drones’ on the big screen. With a novel like “Fifty Shades of Grey”, the author E.L. James has not only brought out BDSM and other sexual acts out from the closet. The novel can be called the romance of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, but it is probably the one of its kind romance novel where sexual practices like bondage, discipline, submission, masochism etc. are brought out into the fore. The romance between Ana and Christians what forms the core of the novel. The bestselling erotic trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey has taken the world on by storm. It's not only out grossed the Harry Potter and Twilight series, but the up-and-coming movie adaptation of the novel is already the hottest topic in showbiz and it hasn't even been cast yet. It all begins rather simply. Anastasia Steele, a 21-year-old college student, is sent to Seattle to cover an interview for her sick roommate Kate. While Ana is expecting to interview a middle-aged CEO, she is surprised to find Christian Grey not only young, but dazzlingly handsome! Ana makes a dramatic entrance and ends up on her hands and knees, fumbling round the awkward sexual tension she eventually reads out Kate's prewritten questions, including the embarrassing "are you gay" question. While Anastasia leaves the interview feeling like a failure and also with her mind stuck on Mr. Grey, the pair are reunited when Christian hunts her down at her place of work.

What starts out like a normal romance turns strange very quickly. Christian makes Ana sign a non disclosure form before anything can happen between them and introduces her to his red room of pain. As we have just announced, Dakota Johnson is to play the innocent student Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie. We’re leaving the official blurb up from E.L. James as we cannot believe our eyes.

It is reported Dakota is working on another film, Cymbeline. Well, we think she should quit that immediately as Fifty fans have waited long enough. Whatever that movie is, it’s not nearly as important as Fifty Shades. Dakota needs to get practising all those safe words, not to mention that inner goddess. She also has to get the art of biting that bottom lip right.

So, where shall we start?  Are we happy with the choice of Anastasia? How will Dakota look behind the counter of the DIY store and driving her battered old banger of a car which she loves? I think they have a very big job ahead of them casting this role. So, I can’t say anything other than it’s a very interesting story and whoever plays that role is going to have a lot of fun, rehearsal time.”

This is a contrast to Somerhalder’s earlier enthusiasm. Somerhalder was even looking up how to equip his own dungeon, but as one fan noted “Ian does not seem quite as confident anymore.”

Stephen Amell, who is another possible contender, recently hinted that the Fifty Shades of Grey casting is underway, but there have been no official announcements. The examiner makes a good case for Jensen Ackles as Christian Grey, but does he have what it takes to knock Ian Somerhalder off the top spot to grab the whip-wielding crowing spot of Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James’s famous books. A lot could still happen between now and the official casting, so perhaps Jensen could gain popularity, or maybe another unknown talent could steal the top spot for Christian Grey. It’s going to be one of the hottest movies of the decade, so it’s understandable why a number of actors and actresses are desperate in getting cast. But it’s not just the unknown who want to delve into the world of the red room of pain, but better-known actors, even some A-listers.

The latest name to be thrown into the mix where casting is concerned is one that surprises us too – Matt Damon.

So far the project has had its fair share of big names. “I really don’t know what to say about that,” she responded. But after being pressed more and asked if she would star in the movie she loosened up a bit.

“I have no idea,” confessed the actress, “You know, I really don’t know a lot about it, except that fans have made a trailer online. I know as much as you know. I’ve seen what you’ve seen, and I’ve probably had a similar reaction to yours.”

It looks like Alexis doesn’t want to reply neither here nor there to press questions.

But things have been rather manic for Alexis lately, especially with the release of Remember Sunday, a story about a lonely New Orleans waitress who meets a cute jewelry clerk, with whom she falls in love with, only to discover he has a brain aneurysm that wipes his short term memory every night. Not to mention in real life she’s getting married to Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser. 

Things to appear to be moving away from Alexis’s favor, since the latest rumor is that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has been cast as Anastasia Steele, but there may be no truth in the above rumor, and we’re still waiting for official confirmation. After the whole Emma Watson issue, we’ve learnt to be skeptical. 

Fifty Shades of Grey Casting Rumors Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone

Universal Pictures and Focus Features are the teases of the Century. Now that we have a director for the Fifty Shades movies, we’re just sitting here, biting our nails in anticipation for any casting news, yet so far any forthcoming information has been nada.

Until now, we’ve only had our own guesses to fall back on, watching the fan favorites fluctuate on a daily basis along with the odds on which hot actor or actress will be cast in the role of Christian Grey or Anastasia Steele.

Henry Cavill, Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder are the top Christian Grey favorites to date, however while their continuous popularity continues to grow on a daily basis, Ryan Gosling is another actor more and more are willing to bet their money on.

Gosling was an initial popular candidate for the role of Christian Grey, however it seems like Gosling is getting his groove back in the part of Christian Grey. So the question is, who would be a good fit for Gosling to star alongside him as Anastasia Steele?

One reason why Gosling has become such a hot commodity these days is thanks to his part in the Gangster Squad, so perhaps his former co-star Emma Stone might be a good fit.

Stone has the look – she manages to be both beautiful and has the “girl-next-door” thing about her. In fact, the pair are such a popular choice they have appeared in a number of fan made trailers which have gone viral, where Gosling and Stone are depicted as the kinky pair. Due to their content and seductive allure, these video clips have gathered thousands of hits on YouTube alone.

After their roles in “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and “Gangster Squad”, it’s evident that Gosling and Stone carry some amazing onscreen chemistry. They have not been afraid to get sweaty and intimate in their roles, so why wouldn’t they be able to take it up a notch in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie?

Right now the race is on, but if Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are cast opposite each other, we can definitely be certain it will be a steamy hot production of Fifty Shades of Grey.
