Jamie Dornan to leave ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ to start work on ‘The Fall’?

Jamie Dornan fans will be officially perplexed, sad and angry when they hear that the Irish hunk of an actor is about to leave the “FiftyShades...” project. But to console them only one thing can be said, and that is, the actor is not leaving the movie franchise for good. He will be merely taking a break. The actor, who was primarily known for his television roles in “Once Upon a Time” and “The Fall”, will be taking a break and going to Belfast to reprise his role in “The Fall”.

He will start shooting for the second season of the series and unlike the earlier Mr. Grey; he will not be leaving the venture. But no sooner had the word got out that the former Calvin Klein model was leaving the movie, than everybody started thinking that history was about to repeat itself. In this context, it must be mentioned that any new news regarding the cast of the “Fifty Shades...” movie sparks off a domino effect of rumours because of the incidents that have already happened with the movie adaptation and have left an indelible impression on the movie.

The first time any such cast change rumour was heard was when Charlie Hunnam, who was selected to play the role of Christian Grey, walked out of the venture citing his commitment to his television show “Sons of Anarchy” and now if the actor, who has replaced him as Christian Grey, does the same, it is bound to give the producers and the director and the casting team of the movie adaptation sleepless nights. Though the chances of Jamie Dornan leaving the movie are slim, since he has been shooting for the film since December, one can’t be too sure.

The actor is still in Vancouver, Canada shooting the outdoor scenes with his leading lady, Dakota Johnson. The Fifty Shades Movie has been reportedly shot indoors with very few crew members in attendance. The actor will be taking a break of 16 weeks to travel to Belfast, where he will then get busy to shoot for “The Fall”. The actor will also be joined by Gillian Anderson shooting for “The Fall”. The actress was finishing up her commitments on the US show “Hannibal”, due to which the filming of “The Fall” had to go through a delay.

The executive producer of the series “The Fall”, Gub Neal was also quoted as saying that they have been talking to the Irish actor for over nine months and it has been confirmed that his “Fifty Shades...” schedule will not affect the shooting of “The Fall” in any way. It is being rumoured that the actor will begin shooting the series in Belfast at the end of January or the beginning of February. We hope that the Jamie Dornan’s 16 week stint in Belfast doesn’t change his mind in any way and he comes back to continue shooting for “Fifty Shades...” so that come February 13, 2015, his fans can happily tag along to theatres to watch him in action.

‘50 Shades of Grey' Movie Curse Rumours: Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora Breakups?

By now the “Fifty Shades...” movie adaptation is known for its ensemble star cast as much as its high profile cast changes, marked by celebrity entries and exits. The movie, which is an adaptation of the Erica James novel of the same name, has seen quite a few upheavals in recent times. The first one started with Charlie Hunnam. We are sure you remember Charlie Hunnam. He was the first actor chosen to play the role of the sado-masochistic self made billionaire, Christian Grey. But his exit from the venture gained more popularity than his entry as the titular character. The television actor known for his role on “Sons of Anarchy” was paired opposite Dakota Johnson and was set to appear as the deep and brooding entrepreneur.

But no sooner had he thought of donning one of Grey’s crisp shirts and sharp suits, quite literally, than there was a severe backlash of the fans of the “Fifty Shades.....” trilogy. Amidst such furore, the British actor decided to call it quits as Christian Grey. Though the real reason of his departure may never be known, insiders say that it was this backlash which forced him to rethink his decision. The producers, however, have another version ready for the fans. According to them, Charlie quit the show so that he could concentrate more on his television endeavours. But the curse surrounding this movie does not stop here; in fact it just started with this. Once Hunnam quit the venture, a huge question mark loomed over the fate of the film.

Many fans were actually convinced that the film would be shelved indefinitely. But thwarting such rumours, another Christian Grey was found in Jamie Dornan. And now, with the shooting already underway the film is finally on its way to release. Though the release has been pushed back quite a bit and now the film is to release on the 13^th of February 2015. We say better late than never. Talking of curses and this film, the word is also going around that the two very pretty women involved with this film are having to spend frayed times in their personal lives. The women in question are leading lady Dakota Johnson, who plays the role of Anastasia Steele and Rita Ora, who plays the role Mia Grey, the adopted sister of Christian Grey.

All is not well on the personal front for these two ladies. Dakota, who has been going around with Jordan Masterson since last year, is said to be having a difficult time trying to balance her personal life and the onscreen persona she puts on as Ana, the submissive sexual partner of Christian Grey. Many insiders believe that the racy scenes are to be blamed for this. Jordan on the other hand is becoming super possessive of his girlfriend who shares a good chemistry with actor Jamie Dornan, the Christian Grey of the venture. It was also recently reported that Dornan is ‘overprotective’ of Johnson and in that case Jordan has every reason to worry, we guess.

When it is the “Fifty Shades....” how could you think that there would not be a shred of tension involved in the shooting? After all, for a film which has courted controversy right from its casting days, regarding cast changes, getting involved in another controversy was just like a slow burning ember which has now gathered flames. This time the controversy has a lot to do with the lead pair of the film, that is Anastasia and Christian, or actually you can say, it has a lot to do with the actors who are playing the roles of Christian and Ana, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

The latest news to come from the set is that Jamie Dornan is “overprotective” of Dakota Johnson. The relationship between Jamie and Dakota, on and off the set, is going great, and that is partly because of the difference in the very nature of Dakota and Jamie, which balances their relationship. The characters, it seems, have gone too under the skin of their characters, not that we are complaining. The on screen chemistry that we have already seen between Dakota and Jamie, it seems, has now transcended behind the screens too. It has also been reported that despite the fact that “Fifty Shades...” is going to be one of her most famous roles, Dakota Johnson has ‘nailed’ her role as Anastasia Steele. Considering the fact she was among the first members of the cast to be chosen and finalised, the journey of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s young daughter seems to be headed for the right destination, and for Jamie Dornan, slipping into the shoes of ex-Christian Grey Charlie Hunnam, might have been quite the task, but we bet that if the shoe fits, one should wear it, isn’t it Mr. Grey, erm, Mr. Dornan? 

Fifty Shades of Grey Author EL James 'Heads Back To Vancouver' As Filming Resumes

Surely you’ve heard of the saying, ‘all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy’. If there is one group of people who live this saying, it has to be the team of “Fifty Shades ofGrey”. We had already heard that the team was shooting in Vancouver and some of the crucial scenes had already been shot, when the weather started playing spoilt sport and there was also a well earned Christmas break waiting for them. Having returned from a well deserved break, the “Fifty Shades.....” team is now ready to resume shooting and E. L. James, the author who has penned the racy novels, is also not the one to sit back and enjoy when she knows that her baby is out there. By baby, we of course mean her venture, the film version of her novel. After all, she is also one of the producers of the adaptation.

The film, which is slated for a Valentine’s release in February 2015, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and ever since the shooting of the film began in December in Vancouver, the two power women, Sam and Erica have been deeply engrossed and associated with the project. Hence, when the team resumed shooting in Vancouver, it was only natural that Erica would ‘head back’ and join them. While the cast and the crew of the adaptation were busy celebrating with their respective friends, the British author and mother of two, too, was busy spending the holidays and the season of sharing with her family which comprises her two adolescent sons and husband. It was Twitter which informed us how she was preparing to travel light, or not, to Canada to be a part of the shooting.

While we are talking about the people, who are behind the scenes, it would be unfair not to mention what the people who will be seen on screen are doing. The lead pair, of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, who play the pivotal roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, were also back to resume their roles, having spent the two-week hiatus with their families. Dakota was seen enjoying her break with mother, Melanie Griffith and her sisters, having spent some time with her boyfriend, Jordan Masterson in Aspen. Jamie Dornan aka Christian Grey, had welcomed their first child, a daughter, way back in December and without a doubt, the Irish hunk must have spent his time off with his wife and daughter.

The cast of “Fifty Shades...” also includes a name, Rita Ora. While the English singer and songwriter has not started shooting yet, she is soon due on the sets and the “R.I.P” singer, utilised her time off properly, partying away in London with friends. Well, now that the team is back and ready to start shooting, we are waiting for the latest updates on information and pictures, right from the shooting, as it happens. ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Casts Eloise Mumford As Anastasia’s Bff Kate

After casting Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Victor Rasuk as the primary players of the movie ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, if there was one character that was left to be cast it was Katherine Cavanaugh or Kate as she is popularly known in E.L. James’s novel, which is making waves in the world of literature and Hollywood with equal ease. The novel has been famous and notorious at the same time. While some have been delighted at the erotic love story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, others have said that it did not measure up to the yardstick of a literary novel
But E.L. James’s novel is not only about titillation, there is an inherent love story that unfolds in the pages of this dangerously themed novel. The character of Katharine Cavanaugh a.k.a Kate is instrumental in bringing the pivotal characters of Ana and Christian together and thanks to her and veiled efforts, Ana and Christian come together and the forbidden arrangement takes form between them. Not only are Kate and Ana best friends and roommates but also aspiring journalists who meet Christian Grey for an interview. On one hand, Ana is a demure and docile young college student, shy and reserved, and on the other hand, Kate is vivacious, outgoing and very social. In the novel, EL James describes her as a woman who has a curvaceous body with green eyes and strawberry-blonde hair. The actress who has been selected to play the part in the movie version of the novel, Eloise Mumford, fits the bill with her natural blonde hair and curvaceous yet slender frame. The cast of the movie venture has already been in the news for all the cast problems and re-cast options that have been tried out and finally selected.
First it was Charlie Hunnam who was selected to play the role of the eccentric millionaire. After he unceremoniously dropped out of the project, Jamie Dornan has been selected to replace him. Let us hope that the choice of Eloise Mumford to play Kate remains a static decision and we get to see more of this erstwhile star of ‘Lone Star’ and ‘Drones’ on the big screen. The character is not only instrumental in bringing Ana and Grey together but she also, pairs up with Christian Grey’s brother Elliot Grey. Though she was a matchmaker of sorts, she becomes vocally disapproving of the contract based relationship that Grey is alluring Ana into.
 From the time she realises that Grey has been responsible for making Ana cry, she vehemently reproaches Grey, but only in Ana’s absence. In her presence however, they have to act civil so that they do not hurt Ana. She is one of the first people to realise the controlling nature of the relationship that Ana and Grey share and how that slowly paves the path to a contract based physical relationship. Eloise Mumford gives us one more reason to look forward to the 2015 Valentine’s Day release of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

An Beautiful romance of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey

With a novel like “Fifty Shades of Grey”, the author E.L. James has not only brought out BDSM and other sexual acts out from the closet. The novel can be called the romance of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, but it is probably the one of its kind romance novel where sexual practices like bondage, discipline, submission, masochism etc. are brought out into the fore. The romance between Ana and Christians what forms the core of the novel. But the seemingly perfect romance between this college graduate and the intimidating businessman takes a turn when he resorts to the above mentioned sexual practices.

The harmless romance takes a turn for the murky when the docile college student, Anastasia Steele and the 27 year old business magnate turn to ropes and masks and whips and spanking to derive sexual pleasure. Their romance begins out of the blue when Kate, Ana’s friend is suddenly left indisposed and she has to fill in for Kate and take Grey’s interview for the college newspaper. Though Grey shows signs of sensitivity, starting with pulling Anastasia out of the way of a rushing cyclist, yet for the most part of the novel he remains as grey as his surname. The sensitivity is reinforced when he sends her a copy of Tess of the d’Urbervilles, which is a first edition. And when he comes to pick up a very drunk Anastasia, after she ends up dialling him in a drunken state also makes Christian Grey a true romantic hero.

With each day bringing us closer to the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey, everyone is talking about who to cast as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, well, everyone except the movie studios.

The Fifty Shades of Grey books are character driven, so who’ll play Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the movies is something that means a lot to the fans, so what’s the best way to cast our protagonists?
